this SUPERB NEW wind Genny has only been available since April.

SPECIAL £995 !

...A 2m dia turbine with many innovative features...

Mistral features:

  • Proprietary low TSR rotor blades with excellent low wind speed performance. Rotor blades are manufactured from high quality GRP.
  • Rated at just 8m/s for superb low wind speed performance.
  • Proprietary low inertia axial flux generator using Neodymium Iron Boron magnets. Our unique ironless generator design has no ‘cogging’, which allows effortless startup in low winds and reduces ‘generator hum’.
  • High voltage power transmission means that smaller cables of a lower cost can be used to transmit the power from Mistral over long distances. Our Power Conditioning Unit (included) then transforms the 3-phase high voltage power to low voltage DC where it can be used to connect to grid tie inverters or charge batteries.
  • High quality Ammeter & stop switch included in the Power Conditioner Unit.
  • CNC machined components throughout.
  • Constructed from powder coated aluminium and stainless steel.
  • Aesthetically pleasing and low visibility profile.
  • Side furling for high wind protection
  • Oversized tail fin for excellent response to turbulent wind conditions.
  • Designed to run through severe weather conditions.
  • Unique bearing configuration resulting in low friction, low bearing noise. All bearings a lubricated and sealed for life
  • Anti-vibration fixings used throughout

Our Mistral small wind turbine features the same turbine engineering innovations as can be found on the Wren Micro-turbine, but scaled up to deliver exponentially more power.

Mistral's additional innovations and features mean that the installation costs are reduced compared to older technology. Key to this is the high voltage transmission and the Power Conditioning Unit (PCU). Traditional small wind turbines generate power at low voltages directly from the wind turbine and require costly large diameter cables in order to transmit the power with acceptable losses over short distances. Mistral's high voltage transmission does not suffer from these limitations. Power can be transmitted down low cost cables over long distances. The PCU then converts the power to low voltage DC for use in off-grid or grid-tie applications. The PCU also includes an integrated stop switch and ammeter.

Mistral is a heavy weight industrial quality turbine designed to give many years of trouble free service and energy production. Mistral is best mounted on one of our tower options in free flowing air streams and cannot be mounted onto domestic buildings.

With an average windspeed of 5.6m/s, Mistral will generate around 1300kWh when used in a traditional battery charging system. When used with a correctly programmed Samrey grid-tie inverter or MPPT charge controller, this figure may be higher thanks to close power curve matching. Small increases in the average windspeed can result
